Village life inspires closer teamwork

Going beyond traditional sightseeing, Asian Trails’ Lao Village Challenge brings teams much closer to local culture through fun hands-on activities, traditional games and engaging team-building challenges.

Participants spend the day exploring the village, meeting local families and taking part in undertakings inspired by Lao life and traditions. From discovering the importance of rice and trying traditional bamboo crafts to learning simple Lao phrases, preparing local food and playing traditional games, each activity encourages communication, creativity and teamwork, while offering an authentic glimpse into local life.

Participants can also try kataw, a traditional Lao game played with a small rattan ball, while the weaving challenge introduces teams to local artisans and the traditions behind Lao textiles.

More than a sightseeing experience, the Lao Village Challenge combines cultural discovery, friendly competition and teamwork to create memorable shared experiences and genuine connections with the local community.
