Full Day Nam Ou River Cruise & Visit of Local Villages
We enjoy a cruise through the famous limestone landscape of Northern Laos on this relaxing excursion. We depart from Nong Khiaw on a traditional boat and head up the Nam Ou River, a meandering waterway lined by impressive limestone cliffs. Along the way, we stop at some ethnic group villages where we get an insight into the weaving of beautiful silk and cotton textiles. We then re-board the boat and cruise to Muang Ngoi where we stop for lunch. We will have some time to relax, ahead of a short hike through rice fields to a cave that was used as a sanctuary by villagers during Indochina War bombing raids. We then return to Muang Ngoi along the river back to Nong Khiaw, just in time to enjoy a beautiful sunset – the perfect end to a perfect day!

- Duration: 8 hours, with departure at 8.30 am;

- Please ensure that you bring sunglasses, a hat /cap, non-slip shoes like sturdy sandals or trainers, camera, loose comfortable clothes, swim wear, personal toiletries, extra clothes and towel, sunblock with a high SPF factor when traveling with us. Even when it is cloudy, the sun still has an immense power;
