Private Full Day Silk Island
Trade in the capital’s chaos for the tranquility of Silk Island. From the hotel, we board a transportation and set off with our English-speaking guide to Silk Island, or Koh Dach, which sits in the middle of the Mekong River. After a 30-minute drive, we board a local ferry for the short journey across the water to the island. Here, we employ pedal power to explore compact Koh Dach, which is famed for its traditional silk weaving. We cycle past the swathes of farmland, rice fields and orchards that dominate the island and through small villages with stilted wooden homes and colourful gardens. We also visit the silk weaving, woodcarving and dyeing workshops that dot Koh Dach. Lunch is served at a homestay or local restaurant. In the mid-afternoon, we return Phnom Penh and transfer to our hotel.
