TRAIL ITINERARY
19:00 - 20:30
Pick up from your hotel in Phnom Penh (driver only, no guide) and transfer to the boat pier to board the ‘Golden Cruise’ dinner cruise. The boat will set sail around 7 pm.
While sailing gently over the Chaktomuk River, you can enjoy a selection of local and international dishes. En route during this 1.5-hour dinner cruise, various important landmarks of Phnom Penh will pass by such as the Royal Palace, The National Museum, parks and the imminent skyline of Phnom Penh.
Taking up a prominent spot in the city’s skyline, the Royal Palace is the official residence of the King and Queen of Cambodia, and is situated near the banks of the Tonle Sap River. Most buildings inside the palace walls are closed to the public except on special occasions. The Palace is a magnificent example of Khmer architecture, although it was constructed as recently as 1866. Following is the National Museum, a distinguished-looking red building, built in the shape of a Buddhist/Khmer style temple, situated at the northern gate of the Royal Palace, the museum is home to over 5000 artefacts, dating back as far back as the mighty Angkor Period.
Outside its beautiful lid skyline, you may catch a glimpse of one of the many open spaces and parks along the river banks, which the locals use for recreation and relaxation. These spaces tend to be thriving with activity in the evening as hang-out spots and exercise area for residents of the capital. All this while you enjoy a marvellous dinner on board one of Phnom Penh’s leading dining venues on the water.
We return to the boat pier at around 8.30 pm and transfer you back to your hotel (no guide included)
