Exploring Qinhuangdao through teamwork
Asian Trails’ China team recently explored Qinhuangdao, a coastal city in Hebei Province around 280 km east of Beijing, for an outing that combined outdoor activities, team building, community engagement and opportunities to experience the destination.
The trip began with a beach clean-up, reflecting the company’s ongoing efforts to support local communities, followed by the Qinhuangdao Race, where teams completed a series of challenges while discovering some of the city’s hidden gems.

With its favourable sailing conditions and a season lasting over seven months of the year, Qinhuangdao is an important sailing and watersports destination. The team took advantage of the setting to hone their sailing skills during a catamaran sailing outing.
Beyond the outdoor activities, the team discovered some of Qinhuangdao’s cultural highlights, including Laolongtou (Old Dragon Head), where the Ming Dynasty Great Wall famously meets the Bohai Sea. The trip also provided an opportunity to sample local cuisine, including a seafood feast showcasing the city’s coastal specialities.
