Andaman Islands open for new season

The southern Thai islands of Similan and Surin will reopen to visitors on 15 October 2026, marking the start of a new season of marine adventures in the Andaman Sea.

Both national parks have been closed to visitors since May to allow the environment to recover. The reopening brings back a range of experiences, including excellent snorkelling and diving excursions.

Renowned for their crystal-clear waters, white-sand beaches and vibrant coral reefs, the two destinations offer a variety of boat trips and cruises, with opportunities to discover an abundance of colourful marine life.

The Moken village in the Surin archipelago adds a cultural dimension, offering insight into the traditional way of life of this semi-nomadic sea community.

With the new season now open for bookings, travellers can once again include these spectacular islands in tailor-made programmes from Phuket and Khao Lak.
