Private Half-day Monk Chat

The vast majority of the population in Thailand follow Buddhism and this unique experience allows us learn more about this religion and its devotees. We can experience this strong religious experience by meeting a monk at Wat Mahathat Yuwaratrangsarit Rajaworamahavihara. This ancient royal Buddhist temple in the Old Town is an important centre for Buddhist studies and houses a well-known meditation centre. It is also the first Buddhist university in the country. Here we will have the amazing opportunity to interact in English with monks to discover more about their role in Thai society and learn about everyday life according to Buddha’s teachings. We even get a short introduction into meditation which is practiced to aid mental contemplation.
