Half-Day E-Bike Tour: Former French Concession, Old Shanghai Town

Enjoy a ride through Shanghai on an e-bike, the perfect vehicle to cover a lot of ground in a short period of time and see five districts of the city in quick succession. This form of transport also enables a more intimate connection with the people and places compared to a conventional tour bus. Even better, we get unobstructed 360-degree views and natural air-conditioning. Our ride takes us through the leafy streets and art deco architecture of the Former French Concession. This delightful area boasts classic colonial European-style villas and tree-lined avenues. We then ride through the stylish district of Xintiandi, famed for its beautifully restored shikumen architecture, chic eateries and vibrant atmosphere.

Continuing to Nanjing Road we will see a blend of the old and new, where traditional neighbourhoods contrast with one of Shanghai’s liveliest shopping streets. Our journey onwards reveals the scenic waterfront of Suzhou Creek, a revitalised riverside area combining historic bridges, modern public spaces and striking city views. Our final call is to the iconic Bund, where historic buildings provide a backdrop to the futuristic towers of Pudong across the Huangpu River. Along the way, we stop for a refreshing milk tea.
