Paint a Vietnamese school
Most schools in remote Vietnam usually lack funds to maintain their exteriors and upkeep the classrooms. They often need outside assistance to breathe new life to the buildings. Asian Trails Vietnam is helping to refresh these institutions with a “school painting day”.
The programme for up to 150 participants sees them travelling to a school that is in urgent need of cosmetic changes. Paints and brushes are provided for brightening the school’s walls and ceiling. Mingle with the villagers, teachers and children while colouring their world. Snacks, refreshments and lunch are served throughout the painting session.
After putting on the finishing touches it is time for a group photo and to hand out small gifts like pencils, books and other school materials to the children.
