Bikes break poverty cycle in Laos

For many, a bicycle is an easily obtainable device. For children in Laos, it can mean the difference between attending school and missing out on an education completely.

In remote villages without schools, many kids walk an average four hours a day to attend class. With a bike, they can ride a 10-15-km distance easily. With this in mind, our Laos’ team is working closely with NGO’s to set up a collaborative event in which MICE participants are divided into groups and tasked with building a bike from scratch.

This half-day experience will develop team building and problem-solving skills and lay the foundation of a common goal to improve opportunities for children in Laos.
