Full Day Explore The Royal Belum State Park
This is the perfect full-day excursion for those wishing to explore the Royal Belum State Park in a single day. The Royal Belum is situated in the upper part of the Belum-Temenggor rainforest complex which can be reached by boat from Pulau Banding, the starting point of the trip. The upper Belum is a wilder area than the lower part of Temenggor since access and human activities are more regulated here. Our tour includes cruising Temenggor Lake by boat, trekking in the rainforest where we hope to spot a giant rafflesia flower, learning about the endemic wildlife, visiting an aboriginal village and taking a refreshing dip in the waterfalls. A packed lunch is included.
Route
- Duration: 7 hours, with departure at 9.30 am;
- It is recommended to bring suitable shoes and outfit for outdoors; mosquito/insect repellent, salt or a lighter for leeches (although they’re easy to remove with just your hands); bring a raincoat (a disposable one will do), a hat and, in case you plan to bathe in the waterfall, swimwear;
- Please bring with you a small bag with the strictly necessary items for the excursion. If you have a large baggage please consider to leave it in a luggage storeroom in town or at the hotel/resort where you stay;
- You may bring something to donate at the Orang Asli Village (useful gift is really appreciated, kindly avoid candy and sweets for the children);
- Please note it is not guaranteed to spot the blooming Rafflesia due his long life cycle;
- If major instances should occur the place visited could be replaced;
- Please make a booking request at least 22 working days in advance (with Passport copy), since it is required to obtain an entry permit, camera and rod permit from the state park management;
- Tour departs with minimum of 2 pax. 100% surcharge applicable for single travellers;
- Children below 12 years old are charged 50% of the adult rate.
- Outdoor activities are not suitable for pregnant women, children under 4 years old, people with physical disabilities or heart problems;
- Cancellation Policy: Any cancellation request within 16 days or less prior to scheduled arrival shall be imposed 80% penalty charges. For cancellation request within 3 days or less prior to scheduled arrival shall be imposed 100% penalty charges. Any No Show event shall be imposed 100% penalty charges;
- Seat-in-coach tours operate daily with English-speaking guide; minimum 2 or 10 pax unless stated otherwise.
- Tours and transfers with English-speaking assistance;
- Transportation for tour and transfers by air-conditioned vehicle, unless otherwise stated;
- All applicable taxes and service charges.
