Full Day The Beautiful Balik Pulau Countryside Ride
The ‘Balik Pulau Countryside’ is one of our most popular tours and it has been widely reviewed and recommended on many tour blogs and travel guides. This cycle ride excursion takes you out into various hamlets, with a mixture of plantations and landscapes and fisherman’s outposts. Without being subjected to a fixed, or a rigid itinerary, our guide will lead you at a steady cycling pace to soak up the idyllic countryside.
Prepare to get up close and personal with the country people and sample some of their delicacies, or even try your hand at doing their daily routines in small-scale local cottage industries. Get ready to encounter animals, birds and reptiles that reside in this idyllic green landscape. Our well-maintained bicycles give you the freedom to venture to secluded places located along rugged trails as we cover almost the entire plains of Balik Pulau. The ride is almost exclusively on trails away from traffic and the use of roads is kept to a bare minimum to enhance the experience. Lunch is at our favourite spot.
Route
- Duration:6 hours, with departure between 7.15 am to 8.15 am, depending on the location;
- Transfer to the start point will take around 45 minutes (duration may vary depending on the traffic conditions);
- A child should be at least 4′ 0″ (48 inches) to fit the child’s bike (24-inch wheel diameter bicycles);
- It is highly recommended to check the availability before confirming the booking;
- All tours are of Mountain Biking base and the routes are mostly on dirt tracks, sandy or gravelled paths. Participants must have at least an average fitness level and are regular to some form of exercises or are the averagely active type;
- This Trail programme is operated daily on shared basis with English speaking assistance or with separate licenced guide.
- Cancellation Policy: 100% penalty charge will apply for cancellation request within 4 days or less prior to the service date or a No Show;
- Seat-in-Coach tours operate daily with English-speaking guide; group size of minimum 2 Pax and maximum 10 pax unless stated otherwise; applicable to hotels in George Town, Gurney Drive, Tanjung Bungah and Batu Ferringhi only. Pick-up not applicable for Penang International Airport and Penang Ferry Terminal.
- Tours and transfers by coach (within Penang Island) with English-speaking assistance;
- Transportation for tour and transfers by air-conditioned vehicle, unless otherwise stated;
- All applicable taxes and service charges;
- Bicycles & helmets;

- All meals as indicated in the programme: 2 tasting stops – local delicacies + coffee or tea and lunch stop – local lunch.
