Sustainability efforts earn global recognition

Asian Trails is proud to announce that our China office has been awarded Travelife Partner status, recognising our continued commitment to responsible and sustainable tourism.

Travelife Partner is the entry-level recognition within the international Travelife sustainability programme for tour operators and travel agents. This recognition confirms our commitment to continually improving the sustainability of our business operations through a structured sustainability management system and the implementation of recognised sustainability practices.

This status is attained following an independent assessment based on the Travelife Partner criteria. During the review, our sustainability policy, objectives, management system, implementation of key sustainability practices and supporting documentation are evaluated against 60 mandatory sustainability criteria.

China is the eighth Asian Trails destination to attain Travelife Partner status, joining our offices in Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam. This milestone reflects our ongoing commitment to embedding sustainable practices across our operations throughout Asia.

As a company, Asian Trails remains dedicated to creating positive impacts through tourism for the benefit of our destinations, local communities and the people we work with. To maintain this recognition, we undergo an independent reassessment every two years to verify our continued compliance with the Travelife Partner criteria.

More information about the Travelife programme, the different recognition levels, the validity of our current Travelife Partner status and the Travelife criteria can be found on the Travelife information website for travellers: travelife.info/travelers.
