Treasure hunt builds stronger bonds
Over four weeks in July and August 2026, 370 delegates from Malaysia travelled to Siem Reap, Cambodia, for a series of cultural excursions and team-building activities. A highlight was an exclusive treasure hunt customised for the group by Asian Trails, turning destination discovery into a fun and memorable team adventure.

Working in teams, participants explored Siem Reap, following clues and completing challenges as they raced to collect points and compete against one another. The programme included visits to iconic historical sites such as Angkor Wat, where local guides shared stories and insights before teams put their knowledge to the test with a fun quiz.

The challenges continued at local venues and neighbourhoods, where participants learned traditional crafts, including palm-leaf weaving and lotus-flower folding. They also put their cooking skills to the test while learning about Khmer cuisine, alongside a fun tasting challenge that tested their senses and introduced some unexpected local flavours. With points at stake and the clock ticking, every challenge called for teamwork, communication, creativity and a little competitive spirit.

Combining cultural discovery, friendly competition and hands-on challenges, the treasure hunt offered an engaging way to experience Siem Reap beyond traditional sightseeing.
