Bali chosen for Kimpton’s first hotel

Set to debut in late 2026, Kimpton Suntaya Bali Ubud will bring a new luxury retreat to Ubud, combining riverside tranquillity, distinctive dining and Balinese-inspired design for incentive groups and corporate retreats.

The hotel will be the Kimpton brand’s first property in Indonesia, bringing its distinctive luxury lifestyle concept to the heart of Ubud. Set along the Wos River, it also offers easy access to cultural highlights including Ubud Art Market, Ubud Palace and Water Palace, while providing a tranquil setting away from the lively town centre.

The property will feature 101 rooms, including spacious pool suites and private pool villas, with a design inspired by Ubud’s natural landscape and Balinese heritage. Contemporary architecture follows the contours of the hillside and riverside setting, creating a strong sense of place.

Dining will be a key highlight, with four distinctive concepts ranging from Japanese cuisine by Michelin-starred Chef Hirofumi Imamura to a Japanese izakaya, a relaxed riverside day club and progressive Indonesian cuisine inspired by the country’s diverse culinary heritage.

Wellness facilities will include a two-storey fitness studio and signature spa experiences, with therapies inspired by traditional Balinese healing practices.
