Formula 1 back after nine years

Formula 1 returns to Malaysia in 2026, with the cancelled Bahrain Grand Prix taking place at Sepang International Circuit from 2-4 October instead.

The return marks the first F1 race at Sepang since 2017, bringing world-class motorsport back to one of Asia’s most iconic racing venues.

A typical race weekend includes practice sessions, qualifying, support races, fan activities and the highly anticipated Grand Prix, creating an action-packed experience for motorsport enthusiasts.

For MICE groups, the event offers an exciting opportunity to combine the thrill of F1 with Malaysia’s hospitality, culture and diverse leisure experiences. Corporate groups and incentive travellers can enjoy the race weekend alongside VIP hospitality, tailored sightseeing, dining experiences and additional leisure activities in Kuala Lumpur and beyond.

Asian Trails Malaysia can arrange a complete Formula 1 experience, including accommodation, airport transfers, private transportation, circuit transfers, meet-and-greet services and guest assistance.

Bespoke pre- and post-race programmes can also be arranged, allowing groups to discover Malaysia beyond the circuit and build a memorable incentive programme around one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events.

For MICE groups looking to combine the excitement of F1 with the best of Malaysia, please contact Asian Trails Malaysia – MICE.
