Private Full Day Mahasawat Canal Local Expert
This full day of fascinating discovery includes spiritual exploration and an insight into age-old agricultural practices. From the hotels in Bangkok, we will be taken by coach to Nakhon Pathom’s landmark structure, Phra Pathom Chedi. At 127-metres-high, this is the world’s tallest Buddhist chedi. The history of the chedi goes back to the 3rd century BC when Buddhism was introduced to Thailand. The next visit is to Sampran Dragon Temple. Boasting 17 storeys, this weird and wonderful temple has been designed to look like it is in the clutches of a massive dragon. The colourful scales and claws of the dragon wrap themselves around the pink cylindrical building. It is possible to walk up a large winding staircase within the dragon to reach the top of the structure. After this surreal experience, we head to Wat Suwannaram where a long-tail boat awaits for an exhilarating journey along a canal to a rural community. We visit a lotus farm and finally, Khlong Lat Mayom Floating Market where we can enjoy lunch and shopping, followed by the return journey to Bangkok.
