Half Day Batu Caves Tour
Observe how Malaysia’s most distinctive crafts are produced at the world’s largest Royal Selangor Pewter factory and discover the mystery of the Batu caves. This half-day tour starts at the former where we learn the different processes involved in working with pewter that includes casting, filing, polishing, soldering, hammering and engraving. Next, we have a brief stop at the Batik Centre, before proceeding to the highlight of the tour; the Batu Caves. One of Malaysia’s most popular Hindu shrines, 272 colourful steps lead up to the site which comprises fives caves and various temples, the main attraction being the Temple Cave.
Route
- Duration: 4 hours, with departure at 9 am / 2 pm;
- Blackout Date for Batu Caves visit: 7 days during Thaipusam celebration (3 days before, day itself & 3 days after);
- This trail programme is operated daily on private or sharing basis with English-speaking guide;
- Cancellation policy
- Excursion: 100% penalty charge will apply for cancellation request within 4 days or less prior to the service date or a No Show;
- English speaking Guide: 100% penalty charge will apply for cancellation request within 14 days prior to the service date or a No Show;
- Foreign speaking Guide: 100% penalty charge will apply for cancellation request within 30 days prior to the service date or a No Show.
- Visit to Royal Selangor Pewter factory is not included in the seat-in-coach tour;
- Seat-in-coach tours are operated daily with English-speaking guide; minimum 2 pax required unless stated otherwise; complimentary pick up & drop off limited to hotels located within half a kilometre from KLCC and Bukit Bintang area only; pick-up at 8.45 am (departure at 9 am) / 1.45 pm (departure at 2 pm);
- The seat-in-coach tour is no available three days before, during and three days after the Thaipusam celebration period.
