Half Day Eat Like Locals

Home to a fusion of flavours, Kuala Lumpur is a foodie’s delight and this evening tour introduces us to the incredible array of street food Malaysia is famed for. At 5 pm, we will meet our informative guide at the hotel and set-off on our personalised four-hour discovery of Malaysian cuisine. Our first stop is bustling Bukit Bintang Street, where we will head to Hutong Food Court to sample Siew Bao (crispy barbecued roasted chicken buns) and chicken curry puff, a pastry filled with savoury chicken. From here, we take a short stroll to Jalan Alor, a lively street lined with rows of hawker stalls and seafood restaurants. On arrival at Mamak (a typical Malaysian eatery) at SK Corner, we try paper dosa – a paper-thin type of pancake eaten with several Indian sauces, such as curry and coconut chutney. We round out the evening with a glass of teh tarik, a popular drink of milk tea.
