New routes connect more of Asia

Indonesia-based airline TransNusa continues to strengthen regional connectivity with the launch of new routes linking key and emerging destinations across Indonesia and South-East Asia.

The expanded network creates exciting opportunities to explore beyond the traditional tourist trail while making it easier to design seamless multi-country itineraries combining Indonesia and Thailand.

In July 2026, TransNusa introduced direct flights from Bali to Waingapu in East Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara. The service operates four times weekly on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.

Complementing the new air connection is the recently opened MYZE Hotel Waingapu, which raises the standard of accommodation on the island and features the largest MICE facilities in East Sumba.

To celebrate the new TransNusa service, Asian Trails guests arriving on a TransNusa flight can enjoy benefits at MYZE Hotel Waingapu, including special room rates and complimentary airport transfers.

TransNusa has also introduced direct flights from Bali to Wakatobi Matahora in South-East Sulawesi, operating three times weekly on Monday, Thursday and Sunday.

Beyond its domestic expansion, TransNusa is also growing its international network with twice-daily Jakarta–Bangkok flights, launching on 6 August 2026 and a new Bali–Phuket service set to take off in September 2026.
