Immersion into hill tribe culture in Northern Thailand

For deep immersion into Northern Thailand’s hill tribe culture, Lisu Lodge has launched some new incentive products, including cultural and adventure experiences.

Located a 50-minute drive from the provincial capital of Chiang Mai, the quaint resort is named after a local Lisu hill tribe village. The community-based hotel aims to conserve the natural heritage of indigenous groups in the province. Delegates can participate in corporate social responsibility activities with the locals, including cooking classes, farming tasks, tea plantation visits with the option to help harvest leaves, and dinners served in ethnic homesteads.

The lodge is operated by Lisu villagers which heightens the overall experience. Built in a traditional Lisu style and with modern comforts, the lodge has four hill tribe influenced guest houses containing 20 guest rooms. These are set amid verdant rice paddies that are framed by the rugged hills in the nearby valley.
