Wheels of empowerment: Meaningful CSR in Bali

For a more meaningful, purpose-driven MICE and incentive in Bali, ‘Wheels of Empowerment’ is a unique, hands-on CSR activity that delivers real-world benefits to a local community. Designed for groups of 50 to 200 participants, this initiative transcends traditional team-building to create a tangible, lasting impact.

Working in small teams, participants assemble high-quality, custom-fit wheelchairs that are donated to individuals in Bali and Eastern Indonesia who require mobility support. A thoughtful introduction provides participants with a deeper understanding of the challenges faced by people with disabilities in Indonesia, thereby fostering awareness and inclusive engagement.

Guided by trained staff, each team collaborates to build a wheelchair that directly improves someone’s access to independence, education, employment and social participation. Organised in partnership with the Annika Linden Centre and Puspadi Bali, a foundation dedicated to providing custom-fit mobility aids, this activity offers MICE groups a powerful opportunity to create change while cultivating teamwork and a shared sense of purpose.
