Day-to-Day Itinerary
Embark on an unforgettable eight-day adventure visiting the crown jewels of the Andaman Sea. This carefully curated holiday blends tropical activities with relaxation. From vibrant Phuket to the pristine Similan Islands, we enjoy diverse experiences. This includes ethical encounters at an elephant sanctuary, exploring the dramatic limestone cliffs of the Phi Phi Islands and unwinding on Koh Lanta’s laid-back shores. Early departures and seamless transfers ensure maximum comfort. On arrival at Phuket International Airport, a private transfer takes us to Khao Lak. The remainder of the day is at leisure. With golden beaches, beachfront restaurants and lively markets, peaceful Khao Lak is the perfect introduction to Thailand’s Andaman coast.
Exploration of the pristine Similan Islands is the focus of today’s tour. The 11-island national park is renowned for powder-soft beaches, dramatic granite formations, lush forests and crystal-clear waters. An early 7.30 am departure from Khao Lak ensures a quieter experience away from the later in the day visitors. From Thap Lamu Pier, we take a speedboat to Island No. 9, Koh Bangu, famed for its soft coral reefs, before continuing to Island No. 8, Koh Similan, for lunch at the National Marine Park headquarters. We then visit Island No. 7, Koh Hin Pousa, with its iconic elephant-head rock and finally Island No. 4, Koh Miang, a snorkelling paradise, ahead of returning to the mainland.
Today we swap the beach for an ethical elephant sanctuary. After breakfast, the morning is free before our 12.30 pm checkout and scenic transfer. Arriving at approximately 2 pm, we discover a peaceful haven dedicated to elephant welfare, conservation and responsible tourism. Staff explain the rescued elephants’ behaviour, personalities and how ethical tourism supports their lifelong care. We prepare treats, hand-feed the elephants and accompany them on a gentle forest walk to watch them splash and play in the water. Our luggage travels separately to Krabi, with a dedicated transfer to our hotel to relax for the remainder of the day.
The spectacular beauty of the Phi Phi Islands is revealed today. Departing earlier than most excursions allows us to avoid the busiest periods and experience these world-famous islands in a more relaxed atmosphere. Our island-hopping adventure includes emerald-green Pileh Lagoon, enclosed by towering limestone cliffs and iconic Maya Bay, famed as the filming location for The Beach. Guided snorkelling reveals vibrant coral gardens and colourful marine life, with our guide highlighting the reef ecosystem and species we may encounter. There is plenty of time to relax, take photographs and soak up the beauty of one of Thailand’s most celebrated island destinations.
We swap one tropical paradise for another today as a combined minivan and ferry transfer takes us to Koh Lanta. A tranquil alternative to the Andaman coast’s busier resorts, the island is renowned for its golden beaches, crystal-clear waters, lush forests and spectacular sunsets. This destination’s rich Thai, Chinese and Muslim heritage is reflected in its charming Old Town, where traditional stilt houses, artisan boutiques and waterfront seafood restaurants recall its maritime past. Surrounded by coral reefs teeming with marine life, it is also ideal for snorkelling. After check-in, the remainder of the day is at leisure.
Today’s island-hopping adventure explores four idyllic islands off Koh Lanta. We can snorkel in the crystal-clear waters of Koh Ngai, renowned for its pristine beaches and colourful coral reefs, before swimming through Koh Mook’s famous Emerald Cave into a hidden lagoon surrounded by towering limestone cliffs. A beachfront lunch awaits on Koh Kradan, celebrated for its dazzling white-sand beach and turquoise sea. The final stop is Koh Chuek, where thriving soft corals and abundant tropical fish provide another superb snorkelling experience. Returning to Koh Lanta during the afternoon, we transfer back to the hotel, with the remainder of the day at leisure.
Today we bid farewell to the tranquil shores of Koh Lanta and travel to vibrant Phuket, the final stop on our Andaman adventure. After breakfast and checkout, we transfer to Koh Lanta Pier, passing lush landscapes, fishing villages and a picturesque coastline before boarding a shared speedboat. The crossing showcases emerald islands, dramatic limestone cliffs and turquoise waters. On arrival in Phuket, a private transfer takes us to our hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to relax by the pool or beach, enjoy a traditional Thai massage, browse local markets or savour a farewell dinner overlooking the Andaman Sea.
Today our eight-day adventure through Southern Thailand comes to a close. After breakfast, we can enjoy a few final hours at leisure to relax by the pool, stroll along the beach, indulge in a rejuvenating spa treatment or browse local boutiques for last-minute souvenirs. At the designated time, a private transfer takes us to Phuket International Airport for our departure flight. We bid farewell to the Andaman coast with unforgettable memories of idyllic islands, pristine beaches, remarkable marine encounters and warm hospitality.
