Nusa Lembongan
Mangrove Tour on a SUP
A short boat ride from the Balinese shores, little needs to be said why Nusa Lembongan is one
of our island secrets for an active day on and in the water. Explore its mangroves by
Stand-Up Paddle boat before snorkelling the remainder of the day away.
WHY THIS TOUR?
The tropical aura surrounding two of Indonesia’s most alluring islands nearby Bali is drenched in postcard-picture scenes. Islands such as Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida, small islands but packed with sun-drenched shores off the southeast coast of Bali, are by far not as busy as Bali’s mainland, but also no insider tip anymore.
Like with any new destination where swaying palm trees form a natural skyline, these beach alternatives are growing up and do that with some beachside activity on their mind. For getting away from the Balinese shores and head over to these two ‘Nusas’ for a day away, filled with activities and exploration, you cannot go wrong with this new mangrove, snorkelling and SUP (Stand-Up Paddle) excursion. Even when you have left your footprint on either of these islands before.

TRAIL ITINERARY
07:30 - 17:30
An early morning pick-up from your Bali hotel (conditions apply) by a driver brings you first to the Balinese Serangan Harbour where you will embark on an already waiting speed boat. The short boat trip anchors first off Nusa Penida where you are warmly welcomed by the team at the Natural Base Camp & Beach Club. This will be your first encounter with the white sandy shores before moving on to the smaller, yet slightly more tropical neighbouring island of Nusa Lembongan. It is here where you will receive a hands-on introduction of SUP boarding.
Guided by a professional paddler, you navigate through the mangrove forest of Nusa Lembongan – a calm and relaxing means to get up and close with the untouched natural side of the island. The tour ends with a refreshing drink before moving on to admire the wonders of the Indonesian waters through a snorkelling mask. There are some great spots between Nusa Penida and Nusa Lembongan worth exploring and depending on the tide and your experience, your guide will point you in the right direction. Lunch is served at the Natural Base Camp in Nusa Penida.
It would not do the island justice if you’re not being able to soak in the sun and thoroughly enjoy the tropical landscape of these islands. The beaches are said to be the finest around with ample space to chill before heading back to Bali. The speed boat captain and his crew welcome you back on board as you are making your way back to Bali at the end of the afternoon. From the harbour, transfer back to your Bali resort is included.
