3 Days Chiang Mai Premium Cultural & Adventure Experience

Over three unforgettable days in Chiang Mai Province, culture, nature and adventure blend seamlessly amid a lush highland landscape. The journey reveals vibrant daily life through visits to colourful local markets and Karen hill tribe communities, plus guided forest walks, hands-on farming experiences and a traditional Thai cooking class. Meaningful moments include an ethical elephant sanctuary experience, where we prepare herbal remedies for the jumbos. The adventure continues with ATV rides on mountain trails, bamboo rafting along the Mae Wang River, relaxation at Mae Sapok Waterfall, a visit to revered Wat Luang Khun Win temple and traditional Karen dance performances in the resort.

Day-to-Day Itinerary

Our adventure gets underway with a scenic drive of approximately one hour and twenty minutes to Mae Win village. On arrival, we visit a traditional local market to experience authentic northern Thai life. We then change into traditional Karen clothing and receive an introduction to the life of an elephant and conservation practices, with a strict no-riding policy. The experience includes feeding the animals, preparing herbal medicine for them and walking alongside the jumbos to a river where they bathe in the soothing mud. A traditional Thai lunch is served, followed by time to relax Mae Sapok Waterfall, including a refreshing dip in a natural pool. The afternoon continues with an exhilarating ATV ride along forest trails. In the evening, dinner is served at the resort, accompanied by a traditional Karen cultural dance performance.

Overnight is at Maewin Resort

We begin the day with a generous buffet breakfast of Thai and international dishes, complemented by fresh tropical fruits and local specialities. Energised for the journey ahead, we travel to Mae Sapok village for a guided trek along mountain trails. Along the way, we meet members of the indigenous Karen community in their hillside villages, gaining a meaningful glimpse into their daily lives. Our journey continues with a cooking class. After exploring a local market garden and learning about our ingredients, we prepare two classic Thai dishes and a traditional dessert and then sit down to enjoy the flavours we have created. Next, is an insight into traditional Karen agriculture, such as feeding buffalo and planting rice in the paddies, depending on the season, After a day rich in culture and activity, we return to Maewin Resort, where dinner is served and the evening is brought to life with a traditional Karen cultural dance performance.

We begin our final day with a generous buffet breakfast of Thai and international dishes, complemented by fresh tropical fruits and local specialities. Our first activity is a visit to a peaceful mountain temple, enhanced with panoramic views. A traditional Thai lunch follows, prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. In the afternoon, we enjoy a tranquil bamboo rafting journey along the picturesque Mae Wang River. The day concludes with a transfer back to the hotel or the airport, depending on individual travel arrangements, bringing this enriching three-day adventure to a memorable close.

  • All mentioned times, durations and stops are based on approximations and may change due to unforeseen circumstances, weather and traffic conditions beyond our control.
  • Private round-trip transfers to/from Chiang Mai city area or airport.

  • Accommodation in sharing twin / double with non-air-conditioning;
  • Transportation for tour and transfers by air-conditioned vehicle or local transportation, unless otherwise stated;
  • All entrance fees for visits as mentioned in the programme;
  • All applicable taxes and service charges;

  • Any accommodation expenses of a personal nature. This includes (compulsory festive) meals and drinks, mini-bar consumption, laundry, room service, any telephone or other communication cost not mentioned in the programme;
  • International travel and medical insurance coverage for customers.
