Rickshaw & Hiking The Colors Of Bangkok
Rickshaw and Hiking
Bangkok’s Green Lung
A behind-the-screen tour of authentic Bangkok: away from modern Bangkok, this exploration touches
the essence of what Bangkok truly is. From local temples to plantations, a tour where
a ‘samlor’ and your feet are the means to see what others may not see.
WHY THIS TOUR?
So close yet so far away. South of the myriad of traffic and away from its characteristic high rises, a new Bangkok presents itself, one that embraces a local lifestyle where a more laid-back mood engulfs villages and plantations. Expect a scene of incomparable experiences, a 360-degree of what one may expect when the name Bangkok falls.
Put on your walking shoes and let us guide you through the green lung of the City of Angels before guests are comfortably wheeled around without a spot of CO2 emissions. The sheer joy of seeing Bangkok from new perspectives just got a whole lot letter.

TRAIL ITINERARY
10:30 - 14:30
Our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Bangkok and drives to the meeting point, south of the city centre. We will meet our guide at his office from where we will head out into the authentic part of Bangkok at around 10:00 am.
After leaving the office/lounge we walk towards a typical local Thai temple with Chinese influences. Buddhism plays a very important role in the daily lives of the people who have lived here for centuries. We continue at a relaxing pace deeper into one of the poorest neighbourhoods of Bangkok. Although they may not have much, one will immediately notice the friendliness and smiles they give you when you pass by their houses.
Crossing the Chao Phaya River is our next part of the exploration. At the other side of the river, we enter a jungle of trees, bearing fruits such as banana, mango, papaya and coconut. This part of Bangkok looks like it seems out of place, but it is here, part of this vibrant metropolis we call Bangkok. You are surrounded by lush vegetation and the best way to enjoy it is to walk. Nature lovers will feel really at ease here.
We arrive at a beautiful maintained park, where we rest a while and feed the hundreds of fish and monitor lizards. After enjoying the beauty of the park, we continue our journey in a real ‘samlor’ (Thai rickshaw) on a cycling trip through the greenest part of Bangkok. The’ samlors’ make a stop at another temple, the oldest temple in this area, before heading to a riverside restaurant. Our team has prepared a simple Thai lunch overlooking the majestic River of Kings. From the restaurant it is only a short rickshaw ride to the pier where a public boat brings us back to the familiar, more modern side of busy Bangkok. You surely will return to your hotel with many new impressions of the Thai capital. After returning to our meeting point, we will bring you back to your hotel.
