Visa-free travel for Russian visitors
Travellers from Russia can now benefit from visa-free travel to Myanmar under a new bilateral agreement between the two countries.
Effective from 27 January 2026, the arrangement allows holders of ordinary passports to travel between Myanmar and Russia without a visa for stays of up to 30 days.
The visa-free access applies to short-term visits for tourism and other non-income-generating purposes. It does not apply to travel for permanent residence, education or employment.
