Formula 1 returns to Sepang in October 2026

Malaysia is preparing to host a Formula 1 Grand Prix for the first time since 2017. From 2 to 4 October 2026, the Sepang International Circuit will stage the Formula 1 Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix in Malaysia.

The event has been relocated from Bahrain due to ongoing challenges in the Middle East. Sepang International Circuit was selected for its FIA Grade 1 status, proven operational expertise and ability to deliver a world-class race at short notice.

The Grand Prix is expected to attract thousands of international visitors, including motorsport enthusiasts, luxury travellers, corporate guests and MICE delegates.
