A new hype in Phuket’s sailing scene

A new luxury yacht experience is coming to Phuket in January 2027.

Combining the appeal of a superyacht with the relaxed atmosphere of a beach club, Hype 86 offers a fresh take on exploring Thailand’s Andaman coast. The yacht will introduce join-in island-hopping trips, offering a new way to discover the iconic Phi Phi Islands and surrounding destinations.

Created and operated by Hype Boat Club, the 26-metre luxury catamaran is a sister vessel to Yona Beach Club, the floating beach club that opened in Phuket in August 2023. Known for its multi-level design, 22-metre infinity pool, restaurant, cocktail bars and resident DJs, Yona has become a distinctive venue for socialising, music and entertainment at sea.

Hype 86 brings a similar blend of luxury, hospitality and entertainment to island excursions, with join-in day trips to four destination options: the Phi Phi Islands, Phang Nga Bay, James Bond Island and Koh Racha Island. Private charters are also available, with flexible itineraries tailored to guests’ preferences.

The yacht features spacious lounge areas, an oversized sunbed and a panoramic upper deck, accommodating up to 150 passengers. This makes it a promising new option for corporate outings, incentive groups, celebrations, private events and leisure travellers seeking a distinctive sea outing.
