New rules for overnight cruise guests

Following new regulations regarding the temporary residence of foreign visitors in Vietnam, visitors staying overnight on cruises – including those in Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay – are now required to submit additional information for temporary residence registration.

Guests will need to provide their passport details, including their full name, nationality, gender and date of birth, together with a copy of their valid visa. Travellers from visa-exempt countries will instead need to submit a photograph of their passport entry stamp.

To make the process as smooth as possible, Asian Trails’ guides will assist with collecting the required information and submitting it to the relevant authorities. As part of the pre-check-in process, our staff may briefly request guests’ passports to verify and record the necessary details.

Passport details, including passengers’ names and dates of birth, are required by airlines for ticket issuance for domestic and international flights. Asian Trails will continue to manage this process on behalf of clients and guests.

For more information about these new requirements or to discuss upcoming travel arrangements, please contact our team at Asian Trails Vietnam.
