Asia rules the World’s 50 best hotels
The 2025 edition of The World’s 50 Best Hotels, released in late October, highlights several Asian properties for their outstanding contributions to global hospitality.
Rosewood Hong Kong claimed the number one spot for its refined design, curated interiors and exceptional service. The city’s luxury hotel scene was further reinforced by The Upper House, ranked number 10, noted for its understated sophistication and personalised approach. The renowned Mandarin Oriental Hong Kong, blending heritage with modern comfort, secured number 41.

In mainland China, Mandarin Oriental Qianmen, Beijing made an impressive debut at number 14. It was recognised for its distinctive setting and contemporary interpretation of traditional Chinese architecture.

Thailand was strongly represented, with Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River at number two, Capella Bangkok at number three, and Mandarin Oriental Bangkok at number seven. Each property was praised for exceptional design, service standards and meticulous attention to the guest experience.

Raffles Singapore maintained its reputation for timeless elegance at number five, continuing to be celebrated as one of the world’s most enduring icons of hospitality. In Bali, Desa Potato Head at number 18 was recognised for its sustainability-led philosophy, while Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, rounded out the list at number 50.
