A journey of discovery for Belgian guests
Asian Trails Laos recently curated a four-day incentive programme for a group of 14 Belgian delegates, combining cultural discovery, premium rail travel and exploration of Vientiane and Luang Prabang’s key attractions.

The journey began in the capital with a welcome dinner in an idyllic setting alongside the Mekong River, followed by business-class travel on the high-speed train to Luang Prabang. The guests also experienced a traditional Baci ceremony, a Mekong River cruise and visits to iconic landmarks such as Wat Xieng Thong and the former Royal Palace.

A highlight was Kuang Si Waterfalls, followed by a guided tour of the Free the Bears sanctuary, where they gained insight into ongoing wildlife conservation initiatives.
The refuge recently made headlines for its pivotal role in the rescue of 27 Asiatic black bears from the illegal wildlife trade. The operation exposed a facility disguised as a zoo that was being used for bile extraction. This is believed to be one of the largest bear bile farm closures in South-East Asia.

The group expressed appreciation for the seamless organisation, warm hospitality and memorable connections during their stay, reflecting Asian Trails’ approach to incentive travel, which combines cultural depth with responsible tourism.
