Chinese visitors gain visa-free entry
Cambodia has introduced a visa-free entry policy for Chinese visitors, with a pilot phase running from 15 June to 15 October 2026.
This visa-exemption applies to citizens of mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau. The scheme is designed to boost visitor arrivals, strengthen the longstanding relationship between the two nations and enhance Cambodia’s appeal as a regional tourism destination.

Tourism Minister Huot Hak described China as a key growth market and expressed confidence that the visa-free policy would help drive further increases in arrivals while supporting the continued development of Cambodia’s tourism sector.
The first group of visa-free travellers arrived on an Air Cambodia flight from Guangzhou on 16 June, marking the official launch of the initiative. For further information or travel planning assistance, please contact Asian Trails Cambodia.
